Evidenced Based Practices

Mental Health Evidence Based Practices (EBPs) in Washington State: The 2007 Evidence-Based Practices (EBP) Survey was developed and administered by the Washington Institute for Mental Health Research and Training (WIMHRT) to identify and assess the utilization of mental health “Evidence Based Practices” (EBPs) in Washington State. The results are intended to directly inform planning and programming efforts, as well as serve as a baseline for tracking EBP implementation in the future.

Resource Guides for Creating Consumer-Run Organizations

During 2007, Washington Institute for Mental Health Research and Training (WIMHRT) offered consumers trainings on how they could start their own organization, including how to establish start-up funding and sustain long-term financial stability. These trainings resulted in two resource guides: Building Sustainable Consumer Run Organizations and its companion, Funding the Consumer Run Organization.

Toolkit for Creating Mini-Grant Programs

In December 2007, the Mental Health Transformation Grant in partnership with the WIMHRT announced an extension to the Mini-Grant Program for mental health consumers and family members.

For state and community organizations, the Consumer and Family Evaluation Mini-Grant Program Toolkit serves as a guide for developing and implementing their own Mini-Grant Program.
